Purpose of Meeting
Speech Contest for High School Students in Grades 9-12. First Place prize: $250. Second Place: $100.
COMPETITION RULES :
1. Speech must be based on the Four-Way Test, its use and possible impact on the world in general and/or your world in particular. You can search The Four Way test on the Rotary International website. https://my.rotary.org/en/guiding-principles
2. Speech is to be 4-6 minutes in length.
3. Speech must be memorized, A 3x5 note card maybe used. The speech cannot be read.
4. Open to students grade 9-12.
5. Speeches will be videoed during the competition.
6. Local Speech contest will be held Wed. Feb 12th at the Morgan County Public Library, arrive at 5:30 to check-in.
7. Video of the winning speech will move on to the Rotary District 6580 speech contest (all southern Indiana Rotary Clubs)
