Join our Junior Book Club.  We have three books this summer and each time we meet we'll discuss one of the books while we have a little lunch and maybe do an activity or two that fit's with the book's theme.

6/16       The Wanderer by Sharon Creech

7/7         A Crack in the Sea by H.M. Bouwman

7/28       Shouting at the Rain by Lynda Mullaly Hunt

While supplies last free, and yours to keep, copies of the current book will be available at the library.  We ask that each family only take one copy to keep.  If you need additional copies we can help you borrow them through Evergreen.

Also, we want to have a really good conversation about the book so please be sure you've read at least 1/2 of the book before our meeting.  Ideally, you'll have finished the whole thing but we need you to read at least 1/2 by the meeting.

The next book will be first be available at the meeting.  For example, when we get together to talk about The Wanderer I'll pass out A Crack in the Sea before everyone leaves.

The target audience of all three of these titles fall somewhere in the ages 9-12 range.  We are not putting specified ages on our group.  If you have an 8 year old who can handle these or a 13 year old who enjoys a good and adventure story and could really benefit from this program; trust your gut.
