Remember the days before digital photography? Do you still have boxes of old photographs stashed somewhere? Now's the time to get them down and bring up to three dozen of them to the history and genealogy department of the Morgan County Public Library in Martinsville, IN. You will also need to bring a thumb drive (some call it a flash drive), or you can purchase one at cost at the library for $5.00. Our genealogy librarian will spend time with you showing you how to use the memory station that can scan your old photos, record yourself talking about the photo, and make your scanned photographs and recordings into a movie. All you need to do is show up with your photos and thumb drive. No registration or reservation is necessary. Because this process goes fairly quickly you won't be waiting long for your turn to learn. And now's the time to digitize your older photos before it's too late. Can't make it to this one? Our genealogy librarian plans to do this one Saturday a month for as long as it takes to get you into the scanning and digitizing groove!
